Privacy policy
Effective from 1 November 2026. It applies to familylawyer.lt.
1. Who is responsible for your data
NORDEN legal, a professional partnership of attorneys (advokatų profesinė bendrija), Konstitucijos pr. 26, Vilnius, Lithuania ("we"). For data protection questions, contact family@nordenlegal.lt.
2. What data we process
- The data you enter in the enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number and description of your situation.
- Information you give us in later correspondence or conversations.
- Technical data needed for the website to work securely, such as IP addresses in server logs.
A description of a family situation often includes information about other people, such as a spouse, children or other relatives. We use it only to assess your enquiry and to check for conflicts of interest.
Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information, such as health details, in your enquiry until we have agreed on a consultation.
3. Why we process it and on what legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a consultation: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To check for conflicts of interest before taking on a case, for example that we do not act for the other party: compliance with the legal and professional rules for attorneys (Article 6(1)(c)) and our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To provide legal services: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) and compliance with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).
- Information about other people included in your enquiry: our legitimate interest in assessing the enquiry (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To keep the website secure: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not make automated decisions, including profiling.
4. How long we keep it
If no contract follows, enquiry data is kept for no longer than 12 months. Data relating to legal services is kept for as long as the rules governing attorneys require.
5. Who receives it
Enquiries sent through the website form are received by attorney Simona Ambroziūnaitė and attorney Tadas Ugintas, both of NORDEN legal.
Your data may be processed by service providers we use, only on our instructions and under data processing agreements:
- Vercel Inc. (USA), website hosting: runs the website and the enquiry form. The form is processed in the EU region (Frankfurt);
- Resend (USA), email delivery: delivers the content of the enquiry form to us by email;
- our email and IT service providers.
We may also share data with courts, public authorities and others where this is needed to carry out your instructions or required by law. We do not sell your data or use it for marketing.
6. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Because Vercel and Resend are US companies, some data may be transferred to the United States. Both companies are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognised as providing adequate protection in its decision of 10 July 2023 (GDPR Article 45). Vercel also uses the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (GDPR Article 46).
7. Confidentiality
Information entrusted to an attorney is protected by the professional secrecy rules for Lithuanian attorneys.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Some rights may be limited where this is necessary to protect professional secrecy or to meet legal retention requirements.
Send requests to family@nordenlegal.lt. We will reply within one month of receiving your request. You can also complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (vdai.lrv.lt) or to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
